Chain Lift Load Testing Services: Comprehensive safety inspections for cranes, forklifts, and lifting equipment

LOAD TESTING SERVICES

To ensure full compliance with the Driven Machine Regulations (DMR), Chain Lift provides a comprehensive Fiscal Inspection and Test service. This service is critical for meeting the mandatory requirements of DMR 18.5, which stipulates a Load/Performance Test must be conducted annually (within 12 months), and DMR 18.6, which requires an inspection by a competent person at least every 6 months. Chain Lift offers a proactive reminder service, notifying clients 30 days before the unit’s due date to prevent it from going overdue. A certificate of compliance is strictly issued only if the unit adheres to both the OEM standard and all DMR regulations. Furthermore, if the necessary test weights are not available on-site, Chain Lift can arrange for their provision, ensuring the testing process is seamless and uninterrupted.

LEGAL
COMPLIANCE

Chain Lift ensures full legal compliance with the Driven Machinery Regulations by maintaining registration as a Lifting Machine Entity (LME) with the Department of Labour, a requirement for all load testing companies. Crucially, the company prides itself on exclusively employing Lifting Machine Inspectors (LMIs) who are individually registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) with the appropriate scope of registration and are in good standing. This combined LME/LMI status is mandatory for compliant service delivery, and all supporting documentation for Chain Lift’s LME and its LMIs can be found in the documents section and will be provided via a link in the email body upon the release of a certificate.
